Boogie Night

Unfinished Business are proud to announce their forthcoming show “Boogie Night” at the Glasgow Holiday Inn, Bothwell Street Glasgow on Sunday 1st August 2004.

Unfinished Business owned by Brian McGee (ex drummer Simple Minds) are showcasing fresh new talent discovered in the East End of Glasgow at the unfinished business recording studio in the Parkhead Forge market. The studio has been open to the general public for just over a year and in that time so many incredible singers have passed through the doors that a show had to be put together to let the public hear how much natural talent is coming through in the Glasgow area.

The Glasgow provost has been invited along with city councillors and several celebrity guests

The show will consist of everything from complete amateur performances (some of whom have never stepped foot on a stage in their lives), to seasoned professional acts.

The youngest performer will be a six year old girl who started coming to the studio when she was only 4 years old and astounded everyone with her enthusiasm and memory by singing the full seven and a half minute version of “American Pie”

The age range in the show is from 6 to 62 and is expected to sell out very quickly indeed.

The night will begin with a three-course meal, complete with table hopping magicians, the show starts with a full illusion show and the first of many singers.

At the interval there will be a fun casino and a donation will be made to the “Prader Willi” charity

The second half is a similar format culminating with a special performance by Europe’s greatest Elvis impersonator and a finale with the full show cast giving the whole night a Las Vegas theme.

There will also be a disco to round the night off till the early morning.

“The main aim of the evening is to showcase, support and make aware the talent that is available and untapped in the Glasgow area, and encourage them to reach their full potential”
